What is the standard SI unit for temperature?

Explanation

The Kelvin (symbol: K) is the unit of temperature on the Celsius scale that begins at absolute zero (0 K or -273.15°C). It was named in honor of the Irish-born British physicist William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, who first suggested its use in 1848. The SI unit for temperature was later redefined in terms of the Kelvin in 2019.
